Valais Saffron (Ayent) - 1 gr
The commune of Ayent is located above Sion. This saffron (Crocus sativus) is produced on a small extensive meadow. It is not "organic" because it is produced on a too small surface, free of any treatment.
In a pot of 1 gram there are between 450 and 500 stigmas. For a risotto you need 9 stigmas per person. Add them at the end of cooking (soak in warm water). GOOD TASTING!
